The topic today during class was "Superstitions". The kids were supposed to explain Japanese superstitions to me using English. And with the grammar pattern they have been learning they had to write something like "If you found a four leaf clover, you will be lucky." Anyway, there was this one baseball kid who wrote "If we play baseball against Shiraoka Junior High School, it will rain."

Not really superstitions related, but I gave him an A. =D

Typhoon has hit the Kantoh Area!

Today on my way back home from work, I saw a middle age Japanese woman with her dog at the intersection. She was wearing a rain hat, a rain jacket, a pair of rain boots and was holding an umbrella. The dog? Nothing. Poor thing, it was soaked. It looked at me when I passed by on my bike. I guess I looked like it too, more if I got off my bike and walk on fours. achoo!!!
